Asia/Pacific AI systems spending to reach nearly USD 5.5 bln in 2019

Asia/Pacific spending on artificial intelligence (AI) systems is forecast to reach nearly USD 5.5 billion in 2019, an increase of almost 80 percent in spent versus 2018, according to data from IDC. As industries invest aggressively in projects that utilize AI software functionalities, researchers expect spending on AI systems to increase to USD 15.06 billion in 2022 with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 50 percent over the 2018-2022 forecast period.
