Asurion, Claro launch mobile protection service in Colombia

Technology protection services company Asurion has signed a partnership with Claro Colombia (America Movil) to roll out its mobile phone protection service in the South American country. The service, dubbed "Mobile Protection", is available to postpay customers, who will receive a replacement handset in the event of theft, damage or mechanical and electrical malfunction. The service costs between COP 18,000 and COP 45,000 per month depending on the value of the covered device.
