AT&T adds 1 mln Mexican 4G customers in Q1

AT&T announced that its LTE mobile service is now available to 45 million users in 42 Mexican cities, compared to 44 million in 41 cities at the end of last year. The US company, which acquired local operators Iusacell and Nextel Mexico for a combined total of USD 4.4 billion last year, said it intends to invest USD 3 billion to bring 4G services to 100 million Mexicans by 2018. AT&T also revealed that its name now appears on the screen of all its customers' devices after the Alpha Tag was changed from that of Iusacell and Nextel.
