AT&T becomes world's most valuable telecom brand

AT&T has this year taken the top spot to become the world's most valuable telecom brand, pushing out Verizon, which led last year, according to the latest rankings from Brand Finance for the top 500 brand names in the world. AT&T's brand value grew 45 percent this year to USD 87 billion, pushed by its acquisitive growth in South America and Mexico following its 2015 takeover of DirecTV. Verizon, though it has lost its top position, remains strong, registering a 4 percent brand value growth, to USD 65.9 million. The writer of this article got a little confused, mixing up Billions and Millions. Otherwise an interesting article highlighting the top tier companies in telecom.
