AT&T, Cisco see lower investment amid net neutrality debate

AT&T has threatened to stop investing in the expansion of its U-verse services until their is greater clarity about the proposed net neutrality rules. "We can't go out and invest that kind of money deploying fibre to 100 cities not knowing under what rules those investments will be governed," AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson said at an analyst conference, reported by Reuters. In April, AT&T said it would deploy the U-verse network in 100 cities, including Chicago, Los Angeles and Miami. Comcast also warned that the net-neutrality uncertainty would curb investment in infrastructure."The
