AT&T delivers IoT starter kit, plans M1 pilot

AT&T plans to pilot CAT-M1 network technologies in the San Francisco market starting in November. Several key enterprise customers will take part in the pilot at the AT&T Labs in San Ramon, California. They represent a broad range of IoT uses, from alarm monitoring, smart meters, vending inventory and propane tank monitoring. In related news, AT&T started offering integrated tools for helping Internet of Things (IoT) developers. Developers can now build their IoT products using AT&T IoT Platforms and Microsoft Azure cloud, analytics and visualisation tools.
