AT&T employees corrupted to plant malware on company's network, unlock expensive phones

The US Department of Justice charged two Pakistani men with bribing AT&T employees over USD 1 million to plant malware on the company's network and unlock more than 2 million expensive smartphones. Most of the unlocked phones were high-end iPhones. AT&T said it lost over USD 5 million per year from the scheme which ran from April 2012 to September 2017.
