AT&T expands Edge Solutions portfolio by offering Cisco ENCS

Tuesday 17 July 2018 | 20:13 CET | News
AT&T started offering the Cisco 5000 Series Enterprise Network Compute System (ENCS) to businesses as part of its Edge Solutions portfolio. Unlike traditional network hardware that performs a single function, Cisco ENCS does more with virtual network functions, including routing, switching, firewall, and WAN optimisation. It can be dynamically upgraded as needs evolve or change. It's a fully virtualised platform designed for the Cisco Enterprise Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) architecture.
