AT&T Mexico adds 566,000 customers in Q1

AT&T reported first-quarter revenues in Mexico of USD 537 million, although its net loss came to USD 251 million, attributed to continued investment in operations, network and subscriber acquisition. The company acquired Nextel Mexico and Iusacell for a combined total of USD 4.4 billion last year, boosting its total customer base to 9.2 million at the end March, having added some 566,000 customers in the first three months of the year, including 116,000 postpaid subscribers and 450,000 prepaid subscribers. AT&T added that its LTE mobile service was available to around 51 million Mexican users
