AT&T Mexico expands 4G network to 12 cities

Mexican operator Iusacell (AT&T) has expanded its 4G-LTE network to a total of 12 Mexican cities, reports TeleGeography. The service was launched in six cities last month and is now available in six more, namely Mexico City, Toluca, Guadalajara, Huamantla, Monterrey and Puebla. Customers in the covered areas simply need an LTE-enabled smartphone and SIM card to access the network. AT&T, which acquired Iusacell and Nextel Mexico for a combined total of USD 4.4 billion earlier this year, recently announced plans to bring 4G services to 40 million Mexicans by the end of the year, rising to 75
