AT&T Mexico revenues up 10% in Q2, adds 476,000 subs

AT&T Mexico reported revenues up 9.7 percent to USD 665 million in the first quarter, as subscriber growth continued to offset intense competition and foreign exchange effects. Second-quarter operating loss was USD 198 million compared to a loss of USD 225 million in the year-earlier quarter, reflecting continued investment in operations, network and subscriber acquisitions. The operator added a total of 92,000 postpaid subscribers and 402,000 prepaid subscribers in the three months to June for a total of 476,000, down on the previous quarter's total of 647,000, to reach a total customer base
