AT&T Mexico sales up 14% in Q1 on customer growth

Thursday 26 April 2018 | 09:27 CET | News
AT&T Mexico reported revenues up 14.1 percent year on year to USD 671 million in the first quarter, with a 24 percent year on year rise in subscribers helping to offset the company's competitive pricing strategy. However, service revenues were down slightly year on year due to a USD 90 million impact from the shutdown of a wholesale business in the fourth quarter of 2017, while first-quarter operating loss came in at USD 259 million compared to a loss of USD 197 million a year earlier due to continued investment in customer acquisition and higher depreciation.
