AT&T Mexico to apply annual charge for equipment sales

AT&T Mexico has begun to apply an additional annual charge of MXN 225 (around USD 12) to all users who are acquiring equipment on a monthly basis, reports El Economista. The company's "deferred equipment charge" is payable from 01 November by anyone buying subsidised equipment via instalments, said the operator without providing a specific cause, adding that it will give users an extra 1GB of mobile data every time the fee is charged.
