AT&T ready to compete with America Movil in 2017 - CEO

AT&T will take "a couple of years" to prepare its new business in Mexico to compete with dominant operator America Movil, according to AT&T Mexico CEO Thaddeus Arroyo. AT&T has acquired Mexican mobile operators Iusacell and Nextel this year and tasked Arroyo with integrating the two companies' networks and helping AT&T gain a foothold in Latin America. "What we really want to do over the long term is deploy advanced fourth generation services to over 100 million Mexicans... that will take a number of years," Arroyo told Reuters, adding that "it will actually take us a couple of years to
