AT&T sets data traffic record during Super Bowl game

AT&T announced that customers who attended the Super Bowl 51 game in Houston used more than 9.8 TB of data on its network during the entire game, which is a new record for data traffic used during the Super Bowl. AT&T said it made permanent and temporary enhancements to the stadium and 13 nearby locations, investing nearly USD 40 million in preparations. Mobile traffic from event-related activities taking place on 28 January through 5 February in the Houston Area, including fan fests, concerts, the game and more, totalled more than 59.9 TB.
