AT&T signs Quintana Roo smart cities contract

AT&T Mexico has signed a contract with the Pro Quintana Roo investment platform to bring the latest Internet of Things (IoT) infrastructure to the main cities of the southern state of Quintana Roo with a view to transforming them into Smart Cities. The ultimate aim of the venture is to improve the quality of life of local residents and tourists visiting cities such as Cancun, Cozumel and Tulum in the Yucatan Peninsula. AT&T added that the full details of the project will be announced in the first quarter of 2018.
