AT&T to bring Wi-Fi to Mexico City markets

AT&T Mexico has announced an agreement with the country's Ministry of Economic Development (Sedeco) to equip all of Mexico City's covered food markets with Wi-Fi connectivity. The project, part of a wider Smart City deal to promote sustainable development via technology and connectivity, will see AT&T installing Wi-Fi services including video cameras in a total of 329 public markets throughout the capital, benefiting some 71,000 businesses, starting with a pilot in the Rio Blanco market.
