AT&T to deploy 5G at AT&T Stadium as mobile data use grows

US football fans used nearly 9 TB of data during the college football championship weekend, according to numbers from AT&T. With 36.6 TB, College Station in Texas used the most data during the season, followed by Columbus in Ohio, with 35.8 TB. For one game, the most mobile usage was clocked on 24 November at College Station, when people used nearly 7 TB of data. In general, from the games played at more than 100 pro and college stadiums, customers used over 560 TB of total mobile data during the 2018 regular season, up 85 percent boost from the 2017 season.
