AT&T wins 12-yr contract to upgrade data infrastructure for US Dept of Veterans Affairs

AT&T has signed a contract to upgrade the data communications platform of the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Under the USD 725 million contract, set to run over 12 years, AT&T will transform the VA's IP-based data network into a secure, scalable, highly available and resilient infrastructure that can enable rapid cloud adoption. The network will get advanced capabilities such as wide area networking (WAN), virtual private networking (VPN) and managed network services.
