Ateme powers VR streaming of Super Bowl 51 game

Tuesday 7 February 2017 | 10:37 CET | News
Ateme's video compression technology was used for the VR near-live coverage in UHD of the Super Bowl 51 game in partnership with Fox Sports and LiveLike. Those who had a Fox Sports VR app for iOS and Android devices could be transported into the atmosphere of the game and enjoy it from a replica of the VIP lounge in the stadium. They could view highlights from the game in near real-time. LiveLike is a VR streaming start-up which built an app for Fox that enables access to sport events from different seats around a stadium.
