Atis starts oneM2M App-ID Registry

The Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (Atis) has launched the oneM2M Application-ID (App-ID) Registry, developed by iconectiv. Atis said the registry will help accelerate the adoption of open M2M systems, based on the work of oneM2M, a global standards initiative for Machine to Machine (M2M) communications and the Internet of Things (IoT). Checking out Terms & Condition of iconectiv App-ID registry. Is this normal? "Customer shall protect, indemnify, hold harmless and defend iconectiv, with counsel acceptable to iconectiv (at Customer's own expense)," I get the hold harmless, but "defend" them with lawyers they deem acceptable for me to hire?
