GSMA's Deputy Chief Regulatory Officer, John Giusti, has lauded the outcome of the final meeting of the African Telecommunications Union (ATU) in Nairobi, ahead of November's World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC-15) in Geneva. The GSMA is pleased with the ATU's decision to support use of the L-band for mobile communications. This band has the potential for widespread global support at WRC-15, driving economies of scale that will benefit consumers in Africa and elsewhere.
