Augere starts broadband in Rwanda, wins Tanzania licence

Emerging markets broadband provider Augere said the commercial launch of its purpose-built WiMAX wireless broadband network in Kigali is set for 25 September. It will operate under the brand name Qubee and will offer fast and reliable broadband internet access to the people of Rwanda, supporting the economic development of the area. Augere also said it has obtained a spectrum licence to offer wireless broadband services in Tanzania. In Uganda, a successful test network is already in place, it said.
