Australia adds 5.6 million home entertainment subscribers amid COVID-19 pandemic

Australia added 5.6 million new home entertainment subscriptions to the end of June 2020, which represents an increase of 18 percent year-on-year. Home entertainment subscription services growth was mainly boosted by the COVID-19 pandemic, Telsyte reports. This growth was across streaming video on demand (SVOD), streaming music and games related subscription services. The total number of subscriptions reached almost 37 million and is forecast to grow to 58 million by 2024.
