Australia digital advertising market tops AUD 7 bln in 2016

Boosted by solid growth across Display, Search and Classifieds, online advertising expenditure in Australia reached AUD 7.4 billion in 2016, which represents a 23 percent increase in expenditure from 2015, according to a report from IAB Australia. The Display category saw the largest growth, bolstered by strong gains in video and mobile advertising, even while desktop display dipped due to shifting consumer device habits.
