Australia doubles broadband plans with peak download speeds of 100 Mbps in 12 months

The number of Australians choosing broadband plans with peak download speeds of 100 Mbps and above more than doubled in the 12 months to January 2021, while average household data downloads grew by almost 20 percent over the same period, according to a report from domestic operator NBN. The report identifies the leading five postcodes leading demand for faster broadband plans. Heading the charge is 2170, based around Liverpool of New South Wales. Closely followed by 3030, centred around Werribee and Hoppers Crossing west of Melbourne.
