Australia receives 19,000 telecom complaints from small businesses in FY

Since July 2016, the proportion of complaints from small businesses to the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman (TIO) has steadily increased, according to a TIO report. Australia's complaints from small businesses to the TIO fell by 6.2 percent during 2018/19. At the end of the financial year ended 31 March 2020, the proportion of complaints from small businesses reached 14.7 percent of all complaints received by TIO, with more than 19,000 complaints from small businesses about their phone and internet services.
