Australia slashes prices for regulated transmission services

Friday 23 October 2020 | 08:34 CET | News
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has decided to reduce the regulated prices for the declared Domestic Transmission Capacity Service (DTCS). The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission expects it decision to lead to a decline in the price of wholesale transmission services in many regional and rural parts of Australia. "We expect these lower prices will promote competition in downstream retail markets which will lead to lower prices as well as new, innovative services for consumers", said ACCC chair Rod Sims.
