Australia telecom complaints decrease 17% in 12-month period

Australian customer complaints to telecommunications operators have dropped by more than 17 percent during the past year, according to a report from industry regulator ACMA. Australian operators received a total of 1.4 million complaints for the full 2018/19 financial year. The report also shows that of the total telecom complains registered in the 2018/19 period, nearly 94 percent were resolved by the service provider and only 1 in 20 resulted in a complaint being made to the industry ombudsman.
