Australia to deploy 182 mobile base stations in Round 5 of Mobile Black Spot Programme

Australia's Department of Communications has announced that more Australians living in the regions will benefit from new and upgraded mobile coverage under Round 5 of the Mobile Black Spot Programme. 182 new base stations will be delivered under Round 5 of the Government's AUD 380 million Mobile Black Spot Programme, bringing the total number of base stations funded under the program to 1,229. Together with co-contributions from the funding recipients and state governments, Round 5 will deliver more than AUD 73 million in new infrastructure investment, including AUD 34 million in Commonwealth
