Australian govt opens consultation on roaming amendment

At last year's 30th Anniversary of Closer Economic Relations, Australia and New Zealand said they would work together to address the high cost to business and consumers of using Trans-Tasman mobile roaming (TTMR) services. The Australian has now prepared a draft amendment to its International Mobile Roaming Bill 2014 (the IMR Bill) for public consultation. Interested parties are invited to comment by 28 February.The amendment, if enacted, would enable the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (the ACCC) to, where necessary, take coordinated regulatory action with the New Zealand
