Australian watchdog completes 6 investigations on telecom safeguards in Q1

The Australian Communications Media Authority (ACMA) has released its Action on telco safeguards quarterly report. During the March quarter, the ACMA reports it has finalised six investigations in relation to telecommunications safeguards; formally warned three telcos to comply with provisions of the TCP Code. The Authority has also started 10 investigations into telco compliance with the new NBN consumer experience rules, Mobile Phone Base Station Deployment Code and Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman (TIO) scheme; and met with the Consumer Consultative Forum to consult with consumer
