Austria adopts 5G strategy

The Austrian government has adopted a new 5G Strategy. The strategy was introduced by Infrastructure Minister Norbert Hofer. Based on the document, 5G should be available in all regional capitals by 2020, on main highways by 2023 and then the entire country by 2025. To cover the high costs estimated at EUR 5 billion, a national alliance and lose cooperation with the industry will be necessary.
