Austria lags behind in NIS directive implementation

Austria is lagging behind in the adoption of the cyber-security act, although EU member states were supposed to adopt provisions against hacker attacks in the form of the NIS Directive by 09 May, reported Der Standard. Although the act had already been announced by the previous Government, with former State Secretary Muna Duzdar (SPO) promising its adoption in the second half of 2017, there is no draft text in the legislative process in the parliament.
