Austria successfully tests C-ITS intelligent transport systems

Austria, as a member of the European C-Roads platform for the implementation of cooperative transport systems (C-ITS) throughout Europe, has successfully tested a pilot project. With C-ITS, the exchange of information between vehicles and road infrastructure can be significantly improved, upping traffic safety, traffic flow and driving comfort. AustriaTech acts as coordinator of the C-Roads platform. Austria is also represented in the C-Roads national project ECo-AT, which is managed by ASFINAG.
