Austrian Federal Council approves reform of Telecommunications Act

The Austrian Federal Council, the upper house representing the nine states, has approved the reform of the Telecommunications Act (TKG) with a large majority. The reform is the first since 2003 and had previously been agreed by the government coalition. The new act paves the way for use of new technologies by businesses and in everyday life, according to the government.
