Austrian government adopts Telecommunications Act amendment

The Austrian government has adopted an amendment to the Telecommunications Act (TKG) and other related laws, submitted by the Minister of Infrastructure Norbert Hofer. The amendment makes several changes aiming to support 5G network development and simplify administrative burdens. Some of the changes include: the right of way for operators to install antennae on public buildings; reduction of telecommunications authorities from five to one; conditions for spectrum sharing and licensed shared access; acceptance of electronic invoices as a standard; automatic adjustment of telecommunications
