Austrian ISPA fights back against new data retention requirement

The recent amendment to the Telecommunications Act adopted by the Austrian government needs to be amended again, in order to remove a new obligation of data retention, according to a statement from the ISPA. The industry group said it has already started talks with the ministries involved in order to have the data retention requirements withdrawn.
