Austrian ministries urged to renegotiate mobile contracts, drop outdated phones

Austrian ministries spend around EUR 170,000 a month on mobile services, according to a series of parliamentary questions from SPO National Council member Karin Greiner, reported Der Standard. According to her, the mobile contracts need to be renegotiated, as the administration pays unreasonably high prices. She also raised the security issue, saying ministries use many outdated phone models that are not supported by manufacturers' updates.
