Austrian mobile revenues grew despite decrease in roaming revenues in Q3

Austrian mobile revenues increased in the third quarter for all segments and amounted to nearly EUR 60 million for voice, EUR 18.67 million for SMS and EUR 88.93 million for data services. The share of data revenues continued to grow in the quarter to reach 32 percent, according to the market monitor for Q3 2017 published by the Austrian regulator RTR. However, the number of customers grew only in the data services; the number of voice and SMS users decreased.

Regarding the number of ported mobile numbers, these decreased to 50,000 in Q3 from 65,500 in Q2. Total mobile revenues increased to EUR 660.98 from 643 million sequentially, despite a significant fall in revenues from roaming to EUR 0.45 million from 2.78 million.

The number of both 2G and 3G Sim cards decreased, while the number of LTE Sim cards increased, to 7.63 million from 7.12 million in Q2.
