Avanti wins 1st mobile services contract, worth USD 4.5 mln

Monday 19 June 2017 | 12:05 CET | News
Avanti Communications announced its first major contract to provide mobile services. The satellite operator signed a USD 4.5 million, two-year contract to deploy capacity from its Hylas fleet to a new customer in the mobility market. The name of the company acquiring the capacity is commercially confidential.

Mobility is a fifth focus vertical market for the company, which sees growing demand particularly for in-flight and in-vehicle connectivity. Avanti’s strategy is to partner with service providers to provide highly reliable connectivity to fill gaps in their networks in regions of peak demand.
