Avast acquires mobile virtualisation company Remotium

Thursday 9 July 2015 | 10:31 CET | News
Avast Software announced the acquisition of Remotium, a US-based virtual enterprise mobility products provider. Remotium's technology enables enterprises to extend access to business-critical applications in a bring-your-own-device (BYOD) environment. Avast's acquisition of the Silicon-Valley-based start-up will allow it to expand its offering of mobile security applications to the enterprise space. The entire Remotium team, headquartered in San Mateo, has joined the global organisation of more than 600 Avast employees.
