Avast grows H1 adjusted revenues 9.2%

Wednesday 14 August 2019 | 14:27 CET | News

Avast reported first-half revenues up 9.2 percent on an adjusted basis, excluding currency effects and divestments, to USD 421.7 million. The company said it expects to hit the high end of its full-year forecast for high single-digit growth in adjusted revenue.

Adjusted EBITDA rose 6.5 percent in the first six months to USD 236.5 million, and adjusted EPS increased to USD 0.15 from USD 0.14. Avast declared an interim dividend of 4.4 cents per share.

Avast said its core consumer desktop business continued to drive growth, helped by cross-selling products such as VPN, AntiTrack, Cleanup and Driver Updater. Customers rose 1.8 percent to 12.41 million at the end of June, and average revenue per customer was up 2.3 percent to USD 50.38.

It also launched its IoT products in the period, with the carrier version going live with Wind Tre in Italy and the consumer product Omni released in the US in July.
