Avast improves H1 profits on AVG synergies, billings grow 7.6%

Avast reported revenues for the first half of 2018 at USD 403.3 million, up 5.4 percent from a year earlier on a pro forma basis for the merger with AVG. Adjusted EBITDA grew a stronger 10.6 percent to USD 222.1 million, helped by synergies from the merger. The company's net profit improved to USD 160.2 million from a loss of USD 51.6 million a year earlier.
