Avaya raises FY guidance after better-than-expected Q1 results

Avaya reported revenues of USD 743 million for its fiscal first quarter to December, up from USD 715 million a year earlier. The sales were better than forecast, in what the company said were challenging market conditions. Adjusted EBITDA improved to USD 190 million from USD 174 million a year ago, also better than expected, and the net loss narrowed to USD 4 million from USD 54 million.
