Average Australian home to have 37 connected devices by 2023

Among the 5 million IoT@Home users, a quarter are considered "invested" in smart home technology, with at least five different IoT@Home products already installed in the home, including cameras, smart plugs, smart lighting and smart appliances. The average household in 2023 is forecast to own 37 devices, around half being IoT@Home devices. At end-2018, the average Australian household had 17 connected devices, mainly including smartphones, computers, tablets and other gadgets.
