Average fixed broadband speed in Brazil is 2.9 Mbps in Q3

A report published by Akamai shows that the average fixed broadband speed in Brazil during the third quarter of 2014 was 2.9 Mbps, a growth of 9.5 percent compared with 2013, but below the global average of 4.5 Mbps, reports Folha de Sao Paulo. The broadband leader in the reference period was South Korea, with an average speed of 25.3 Mbps.
