AWS introduces data warehouse service Redshift

Thursday 29 November 2012 | 09:51 CET | News
Amazon Web Services has announced a limited preview of Amazon Redshift, a fully managed, petabyte-scale data warehouse service in the cloud. Amazon Redshift enables customers to increase the speed of query performance when analysing any size data set, using the same SQL-based business intelligence tools already being utilised. Customers can launch a Redshift cluster through AWS Management Console and begin using the service with a few hundred gigabytes and scaling to a petabyte or more for under USD 1,000 per terabyte per year.
