Axel Springer buys 20% of French search startup Qwant

German media group Axel Springer has acquired a 20 percent stake in French search engine Qwant.com for an undisclosed amount through its Digital Ventures subsidiary. Qwant puts an emphasis on respecting user-privacy and has adopted an extensive "privacy by design" approach from the start.
