Axtel Q4 revenues up 19%, closes merger with Alestra

Mexican operator Axtel reported revenues of MXN 2.83 billion in the fourth quarter of 2015, up 19 percent on the year-earlier figure of MXN 2.38 billion. Adjusted EBITDA for the quarter came to MXN 764 million, a 3 percent year-on-year decline due to lower voice revenues, partly offset by increased pay-TV and enterprise revenues. In fact, the company's enterprise and government segment grew 66 percent year-on-year to MXN 1.81 billion in the fourth quarter, offsetting an 11 percent fall in consumer revenues to MXN 804 million. Axtel also announced that its merger with Alestra closed on 15
